The installation explores how we react in unfamiliar spaces. Disorientation is not the end – it sparks deeper questions: Who am I? Where do I stand? A maze exists only in our minds. To some, 阡陌 is a baffling labyrinth; to others, a radiant sculpture of light and reflection. The truth depends on the viewer.

When people enter, confusion often follows. They wander, hesitate, and collide with endless reflections. Some pause and wait; others frantically search for an exit, only going deeper. A few close their eyes, trust intuition, and find their way through the unknown.

We invited diverse performers – students from HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity, yoga instructors, designers, and local dancers – to engage with the mirrors. Their movements, breath, and energy created unexpected dialogues with the space.
